Apollo Investment Corp. and Apollo Global Management LLC said Monday that a subsidiary of Apollo Global bought $50 million, or about 5.9 million newly issued shares, of Apollo Investment Corp.’s common stock.
The company named Mark Harris to the position in February, but said it was later informed by Harris that he would be unable to start on his scheduled date as a result of circumstances at his current job.
Apollo Investment said it wants to fill the position promptly, so it has begun a new search. In the meantime, Gene Donnelly, Apollo Global Management LLC’s chief financial officer, will continue to fill it on an interim basis.
The final number of shares and dollar amount will be subject to adjustment based on the final net asset value as of March 31, to be determined by Apollo Investment’s board, the companies said.
